Questions we've been asked about our yoga pants
These are questions that our customers often ask about our yoga pants.
- Can you make these pants in the same fabric/colours as your t-shirts?- The quick answer to this question is no! Our jersey fabric has very little stretch, so would be unsuitable to use for our yoga pants range. These pants need the super stretchy cotton/spandex that we use so that the fold over waistband can stretch and then return back into place, preventing a wardrobe malfunction! 🤭We are also asked if we could include red, maroon, hot pink etc to our colour range for the pants. We can (and do) dye our own colours but this is a huge investment of money and space, because of the metres we need to dye in one dyelot. And honestly, we have 7 colours now in our yoga pants range and black is still absolutely our best seller, followed by navy and charcoal marle.

Can you make these pants longer or shorter for me?- Absolutely! This is one change we do make to our garments. The average Australian woman was 162cm tall in 2012 and this height is set to increase to 167cm for the average Australian woman in 2025 (ABS). We have always based our length on a 167cm woman, as this seems to fit our customer demographic. This means, if you are taller (or shorter) than 167cm, our yoga pants are not going to be a perfect fit for you lengthwise. As our pants are made out of soft, knitted cotton/spandex, they cannot be worn too long like jeans. A cuff cannot be rolled up on them and rehemming with a regular sewing machine will cause the stitches to break. So what to do if you think you need your yoga pants longer or shorter 🤔Firstly, the inside leg measurement is written in the garment description. Use this measurement to check against your own body. Secondly, if this measurement doesn't suit, place your choice of pants in the cart and enter your required measurement in the "special instructions" box at checkout. For example, "please add 3cm to hem". We will then make you a custom pair, with a couple of extra cms added for slight lengthwise shrinkage in the first wash. Please note - these pants then become a custom order, so do not qualify for our returns/exchange policy.
- Can you make these pants with pockets- We can, but we won't! There are 3 reasons for this- 1. Side pockets require side seams, which is something we do not want to add to these pants. They have a neater fit without seams over the hips and 2. Adding pockets, either in the side seams or as a patch pocket on the back, costs money and time which has to be passed onto the customer and 3. The style of waistband we use would not be able to hold up with too much weight in pockets. Elastic is better suited for pants requiring a pocket, as it is more sturdy. Also, long time subscribers will know that my mantra when designing is "can this garment be manufactured over and over without a problem?" It is incredibly important to me that every garment is a quality garment Every.Single.Time. Adding pockets to our simple, flattering yoga pants would be adding said problem into the production process.
I hope this answers some questions you may have had about our yoga pants 😊
