So, you've got your parcel of Lahay goodies 🥰Now, what to do with the packaging?

So, you've got your parcel of Lahay goodies 🥰Now, what to do with the packaging?

Many of you would be familiar with our eye catching teal satchels that our Lahay garments are shipped in.

The inside garment bag that we use, which for mainstream clothing is usually a plastic bag, is actually a product called glassine. Glassine is made from wood pulp and is resistant to grease and water and is also acid free. If you think our garment bags look familiar, think Chiko roll bags 😋

So, you have rushed down to the post office to get your delicious bundle of Lahay clothing (you did rush, didn't you? 🤣) Now what?

Firstly, pleeeeease open the satchel between the 2 lines on the back. There are cutting instructions there to help ✂️. By cutting between the lines, you are able to reuse the bag. When we pack your order, we only use 1 of the sticky sections. The 2nd is preserved for you to use to send an exchange or refund back to us. By using the satchel for this purpose, it saves the environment and saves you paying for another satchel.

As a side note, if returning a garment to us, please leave the satchel as big as possible. For any orders under 1 kilo (which is most), the size of the parcel does not matter, only the weight. We have seen a few garments shoved (not folded) into a tiny bag, when there is no need. That is, it doesn't save you any more money to post back! And in fact, if your garment is not returned in an usable state, we might not be able to refund/exchange the garment, which will cost you money 😉

So, your garments fit perfectly, what now? For the outer satchel, this is home compostable. If you have a compost bin, throw it in there and let it do its thing.🌿 If not, throw it loose in your garbage (not recycling) bin and it will biodegrade very quickly at the tip.

For the inner garment bag, this can be thrown in your compost bin also or recycling bin.

Hope this helps for your next order!
